Statue of the Virgin Mary of Rochegude, located on a secluded plot of land. Erected on October 1, 1866, it was restored in 1880, 1936 and 1980, when a plaque was added "to reiterate Rochegude's trust in Our Lady".
Description
It's called "de la rue du Bac", in reference to the place of the presumed Marian apparition to Catherine Labouré in 1830, and to the Virgin Mary's appearance on the "miraculous medals" created in the wake of these events.
