In the 12th century, the abbey of Bouchet was saved by bees which, thrown from the top of the ramparts, put to flight the armies of the Count of Toulouse! An opportunity to discover the vines they polish.
Description
At the "Bouchet Mairie (97m)" sign, turn left onto rue des Côtes-du Rhône (D 441). At the "La Chapelle (103m)" sign, turn left into rue du Comtat. Cross the D141 and continue straight on rue du Coudair to the Couderc crossroads. Follow rue Mistral to the right, then chemin (road) des Aires to the left. Continue along chemin du Grand-Bosquet. Turn left into chemin de Castoux. Pass the house, the lone tree and follow the edge of the grove. At the corner, fork right onto the track, then take the left-hand path, leaving the right-hand path. Enter the wood. At the crossroads, turn left. The path leads out of the wood, through the vines, then back into a wood. At the Esparants crossroads (118m), take the track on the right. Turn left onto the Chemin des Sablières (road) for 500m to a crossroads equipped with a signpost.
The path on the right leads to the Grande-Fontaine washhouse, ideal for a break.
Continue along chemin des Sablières for 60m, then take the road to the right. It veers left, skirting the banks of the Hérein at a distance before returning to the Coudair crossroads. Turn right. Turn right onto rue de Provence (D141) and return to the starting point.
