A word from the artist Hélène Marano :
I live and work in the Drôme.
My training: Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Valence
My research: my work is articulated between two poles.
Working with live models
The bodies I draw in ink, charcoal and paint, in uncertainty, accumulation, repetition and erasure, to express the strangeness of our relationship to the world, to others and to ourselves. In our quest for exchanges, encounters, friendship and love, with feelings, the unspeakable, nostalgia, pain and happiness.
Abstraction
Fascinated by pictorial freedom: the need to work with materials, the poetics of matter, to express feelings, states of mind, impressions, emotions, sensations, the spiritual and sacred, life and its mysteries.
