Description
It is classified as an artistic site and hosts concerts, plays and other events. Legend has it that long ago, Gargantua, tired of his peregrinations across France, sat down for a moment on Mont Ventoux to take a breather and free himself from a villain in his boot, making him suffer horribly.
Thus was born Pierrelatte, or at least its boulder, a small stone that fell from a giant boot in the middle of a wide plain: an unusual boulder, the first stone of immense future achievements. (Excerpt from the book Pierrelatte, Pages d'Histoire).
